Dr Chris Consilvio
I received my undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology from Cornell University. After graduation I spent a year living in China teaching English to middle school kids. I then attended University of Michigan Medical School graduating with honors in research. I subsequently completed an Internship at St Francis Hospital In Evanston, IL, a residency in anesthesiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston Massachusetts, and a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Stanford Hospital, Palo Alto CA.
I am currently an attending anesthesiologist and critical care doctor in the Cardiac Surgery ICU at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.
I am also an avid traveler. I’ve been to almost 50 countries and always try to immerse myself in different cultures across the globe.
I’ve had an interest in “alternative medicine” for decades without any agenda to prove if individual therapies work or not. I believe in science, but I have an open mind. This blog is my attempt as a doctor trained in the most high tech, most expensive, most invasive evidence based treatments to open my mind and explore “unproven” therapies from around the world that people are already using in their daily lives. I don’t expect to prove anything, but I do expect to learn a lot.
